for some reason tf2 is not using the correct audio device, or it's not being detected

image explanation: I have tf2 running on a monitor off screen that's playing the cutscene (audio is enabled while the window is not in focus), and my windows sound is not detecting anything at all, but I can still hear audio obviously

Right click on your audio device and in the "advanced" tab make sure that you uncheck "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
