Ya game bans ban you from playing the game. Devs can just game ban anybody they want for any reason they want. Most common way to get a game ban right now is CSGO Overwatch

Game ban mechanics are up to the dev
in CSGO overwatch bans mean no valve servers, but you can still play on servers that allow overwatch banned players

That's for CS:go tho. i looked it up on that vac status thing and the ban was from February.

game bans didn't show up on profiles till like a couple of weeks ago so it's not really that you missed it

He probably got OW banned (hard evidence for CSGO, circumstantial for TF2), but since there wasn't really a way to know if someone got OW banned you couldn't really tell if they were cheating until they got a VAC ban or something

OW isn't necessarily hard evidence. It could have been a false positive or it could have been a ban for griefing. Obviously this guy is a hacker and was probably hacking, but it is possible that somebody with an overwatch ban was not.

Here is a cheater + his alts that I played with on TF2center the other day - Your text to link here... It is ridiculous. He used obvious wallhack, triggerbot, etc. Was shooting at the ground several times to screw up his accuracy stats. His main account, Your text to link here... is currently trade banned, but has no VAC ban on it currently. I believe this account was banned from tf2center- but I am not sure.

Sun was probably the most delusional person I have ever met In my entire life, I was foolish enough to not say anything when my ugc team rang him a bunch of times in like December, and some of the things he said, looking back are hilarious.
