*sighs* I know a another crashing help me please thread. Please bear with me.
So I had to reinstall my operating system(Win7) after a virus attack. Ever since I reinstalled Steam and Team Fortress 2 I have been unable to join a server for more than 3 minutes(rough estimate.
I have tried: Defragment Cache Files, and Verify Integrity of Game Cache multiple times.
I currently have a crappy desktop, so playing or even starting, in DX9 is naught. I currently have: HUD^2, 16:9 Aspect Ratio, 1600x900 resolution, and Chris' Max Frames running.
If you could give me some tips as what to do to fix this issue. It would be eminently appreciated.

DX8 is causing really bad really frequent crashes since a few updates ago. That's most likely the issue.

This crash isn't unique, should have joined the dx8 crash train threads on steam forums.
