Hey, I've got this memory leak problem with Chrome where it begins consuming over 2GB of RAM. It starts low, then continues to consume more and more until it's consuming all that I've got.

I tried doing some research on this problem online, but I haven't found a clear solution. Does anyone else know of this problem and has found a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

if you here chrome://memory-redirect in a new tab it will show you what tabs/extensions/etc. are using ram

tbh it's probably just chrome being a memory hog like it always has been. I have 26 tabs open and it's using a couple of gb. Download more ram

So....nothing crazy there.

I tried switching to firefox, and found that the leak was coming from flash instead. I'll have to do more research I guess.

Try nuking flash from your computer & reinstalling it. If all else fails, you could install youtube magic actions and enable the option to force using the HTML5 player, though this won't help you with twitch streams :^)

Yeah Chrome doesn't use the flash you have installed on your system by default. You can enable Chrome's or the system one separately in chrome://plugins

I don't know if it's related to taking up a lot of memory, but having both Flashs enabled would cause certain sites (like facebook) to completely freeze. Worth checking out.
