So my windows computer is 3 months old and stupid me didn't install an anti virus or a maleware blocker. I don't know how any of this works as I've always used to be a Mac user. I've been noticing some sketchy applications I've never once installed myself and I really need advice on how I can remove all the malware on my computer.
And if anyone knows a good free antivirus program that'll be great.

EDIT: Microsoft's Windows Defender is pretty good for built-in, but I guess not as good as it used to be.
Check out Avira.. it's free and I've heard good things.

just watch where you click on sites and what you install and what mails you open, etc.
i haven't used anti-virus or anti-malware or whatever for years and all is still fine.
otherwise, if you'd just do one google search for 'free anti-virus', you'll get plenty of hits that can be of help.
just check out reviews / review-sites with relatively in-depth reviews or/and point-system.

Malware Bytes
If that doesn't work nuke it.(clean windows install)
Other methods take more time and effort then they are worth if you don't have anything important on your PC.
Also heard Common Sense 2015 is pretty good.

malwarebytes.
You can only become infected by actively downloading malware. Use firefox and install these addons:
-HTTPS everywhere
-NoScript ( set to disable all, then manually allow the sites you visit )
-Adblock
Don't download sketchy stuff.
