so for what ever reason my obs refuses to work when i have it set to stay on tf2 when i alt tab ive tried everything when i try game capture it just flickers can anyone help me

Is the game in full screen? Are you really using game capture and not software capture source?

no its windowed border-less an no im using software cap but i have it set to cap the game when i alt tab but it refuses to work

Could you screenshot the software capture so I can see what you are doing wrong? Only reason why it would flicker is that the game is in full screen.

Try leaving Aero on when you run OBS.

Do not use sub region. If you're going to window capture, its already going to capture the window.
