Competitive (not mm) seems really interesting. There are only two more tournaments, one on the 14th and one on the 21st. It would be really cool to see a few teams of TF2 players there. There seems to be a decent NA and EU so hopefully we won't end up with something like CS where it is mostly dominated by EU. I'd highly recommend that anyone interested in competitive watch some of the matches, you can find them on the Dirty Cups Youtube. They also stream the tournaments, however, I believe they only stream the Semis and Finals.
Also on dirtycups.gg they have a scrim finder and provide servers. I didn't see any server info so I don't know how to get that but it seems to be fairly active on weekends. The steam group for Dirty Cups also has PUGs occasionally, I have yet to play in one, but I'll try to get in one soon and post how it was.

Saw some people talking about ranks, figured I'd just throw this in here. Each tier has 5 ranks (except Cobalt and Elite), the lower the number the higher the rank. An example is I started out in Gold 5, the lowest Gold rank, and I ranked up and am now in Gold 4.

Vasseli is ridiculous if you can snipe well. Compared to most other fps he has such an insane move speed so its really easy to get headshots. Helps that his smg is just as strong as the other classes primaries.

Seems like if you win every one of your placement matches you get placed in gold 3. So far I've made it to cobalt 3, gonna keep going till I get elite.

sniper seems to be really ridiculous from what i've played of it
nothing has really stopped me so far, but i have been only playing pubs for like 3 hours

compared to the main classes Vassili is probably the easiest. it's the difference between having to continuously track vs flick and fire once.

I seem to be having this problem, after 10 mins the game will start to stutter and restarting is the only fix.
Also Vasili is really strong if you have decent aim, still waiting until I can unlock him but in the Alpha I was pretty unstoppable.

A really good vasili can carry a entire team to victory, the MoA, and Vasili's to a lesser extent, perfect card (which is around silver) does stupid amount of damage with almost no drawback for missing. running a sniper instead of a rifler/engi/med seems to be way harder than sniping in tf2 or awping in csgo because of a few reasons
teams run 2 medics so if u dont instagib somebody theyre instantly revived or if u kill one medic theres still another retard sitting behind his fragger slamming ur whole team
teams notice where u r if theyre not retards and their guns actually go pretty far and dinks/hs/nades can rip u super fast
ye wallhack ball is nice with how much people 5 man push in this game the intel isnt THAT amazing or that different from what u get just by using ur ears/keeping track of oppenents
dumbshit easy skills to land like pre nades and airstrikes and revives/medpack drops impact the game a lot more with a lot less investment
explosions are fucking huge in this game and u can shut down a lotta chokes just be looking at respawn waves and knowing timings
its not like tf2 where u run sniper and the other team hides and doesnt peek u because ur gun goes further than theirs or they run countersniper, if u hop out and dont instagib somebody their fragger should fuck u up in a few dinks and ur donezo
a 45-10 sniper doesnt seem to have nearly the impact of a rifler with the same kd or an engi with half of that because of how obj and push based the game is

I'm avoiding matchmaking because of how bad it is right now. From what I can tell, it matches you against random opponents and not any of similar skill, plus there's a pretty bad problem with cheaters.
