Event's coming up late next month and I was wondering if there was anyone else hyped about the event. Personally really looking forward to the tetris exhibition section, those guys do some crazy shit, any 3d platformer (Sunshine hyyype) and of course the Super Metroid race at the end of the week is fantastic.
Here's the rest of the schedule for the week of the event https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule
For those that don't know SGDQ (Summer Games Done Quick) is a speedrunning event meant to raise money for charity that spans a week, July 26th to August 1st, with runs/exhibitions happening literally every hour of the day (Barring any connection issues) If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out!

No half-life despite the new skip. RIP.
Noir and xcd on portal should be fun though.

This is only slightly related to SGDQ, but sinister1 was in the lower bracket competition of the Nintendo world championships when the game was super metroid. You could tell he was messing around to give his opponents a headstart, and he even faked some failed jumps on the escape. I was half expecting him to save the animals too.
Sinister1 has regularly been a very entertaining GDQ runner, especially that Blindfolded Punch-Out run a year ago. Hope to see a good bunch of runners play games out of their minds.
