Yeah you have to go to the History tab on a player's profile

For example https://play.esea.net/users/691438?tab=history (they are on the right)

I don't know that you can look up a player by their Steam ID though. I suppose you could have them manually enter their ESEA profile and then verify it by cross referencing with the Steam ID on that ESEA profile.

To expand on this, you can search by steamID like this

Where query=steamid. Has to be steamid3 as far as I know.

To easily grab the divisions they played in, set query strings on a users page

?tab=history&format=json

And check the division_level for each item in history_teams

PS you can use format=json on any page to make things easier (thanks to tsc/jon one of these guys posted this tip before).

I've played 13 of these. They seem pretty similar to regular lobbies except people are a bit more willing to listen to advice. I'd say about 60% of those lobbies have been 3-0 (koth), 4-0 (5cp) or a roll in payload which is about the same as regular lobbies.

Only admins can make AL and not all the servers have stats. I think I've played 7 AL in badwater pro which is a ridiculous amount for 1 map, there are other maps admins.

If you had to pay more than ~$1 for this service I don't think it's worth it but it's such a low amount it might be if you like playing lobbies. I do hope they improve this whole system by the time you have to pay though; at the very least allow players to make advanced lobbies (pls no more badwater).

Played one AL lobby couple hours ago. I don't want to shittalk or to be this guy, but jesus christ this balancing system is the worst I could think of
For example, tf2pickup.net compared to AL on tf2c offers you MUCH even team rosters and it's much pleasant to play, at least because of braindead admins and moderators on tf2c.

I'm like 90% sure they are both using Jon's autobalancer, exact same balancing algorithm. Not saying it's good or it's bad but don't make claims after you've played 1 single lobby.

there are entry requirements which is why it's supposed to be "advanced lobbies"
taken from the al page

Entry requirements - Either some competitive experience or within the top 20% on tf2playerrankings.com

this still doesn't mean have to be good though. having competitive experience means you can be steel and top 20% means you're within the top 2000 players on tf2center which doesn't mean much

it's just a bare minimum "know how to get to mid, talk in mumble" sort of deal
