graphics problem in dx80 after gun mettle update

that's how my tf2 looks like now after the update.
i only counter the problem when using dx80, dx90 looks fine but i got half of my fps on dx80 when playing with dx90 which is unplayable for me.
at first i though it was my flat textures that is causing the graphics problem, so i delete it. but it still looks the same.
here are other custom stuff that i have installed on my tf2 :
bwhud ( been using it since the gun mettle update broke most huds )
a modified custom particles mod ( remove scatter spread and stuff )
no explosion smoke scripts

any help would be appreciated.

Hasn't dx80 been broken for a while now?

But yeah, dx81 should be fine, unless they completely broke it in the update. Although we would probably all already know about that since so many people here use that version.

solved by verifying game cache + using dxlevel81 seems to be better than dxlevel80. :)
