yukibadlands is the oldest map that we still play, now that granary seems to be getting phased out for pro_granary.
Or are we counting pro gran as the same map?
Depends whether you count the original Granary, or the Granary_wtf when Valve added gates to mid and a set up timer a la Well or Granary_pro where the gates were removed. The history of Granary is varied yet always stalematey.
Three ESEA LAN finals have been affected by unlock changes immediately prior to the LAN.
The equalizer LAN - before it was split into 2 unlocks
The Natasha LAN - where it rivaled a death star's tractor beam
The quickfix LAN - pop in, jump out, rinse and repeat

I mean when the map was still called 'granary'.
I think we are going too far into semantics here.

There has never been an IM team that has gone 16-0 and won the division.
cafe monster was the first team #1 seeded team in IM to win the division.
bl4nk and tri are tied for IM wins.

that is incorrect, Tri won IM 2 seasons ago with Cisco Adler vs. Blockback.

Weren't minis legal in S8?
Also, mackey played every class but demo in invite at some point (if only for less than a singe game). He's played everything but demo and maybe pyro at LAN.
Before someone asks, http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8340186 at the beginning for scout, and medic was at the start of https://youtu.be/L2s_Xs1Y5YE He played pyro here: https://youtu.be/bTN_zYeAh2M?t=103 Everyone knows about his prevalent offclassing to the rest of the classes.

badlands is the only map made by valve that we play now
If we're arguing that pro gran is essentially the same as Gran- then proDuct's foundation was made by valve? So that makes two maps.

These are very interesting trivia pieces, I invite you guys to add them to their respective comp.tf pages, because it's one of those things that give a really nice flair to a wiki and it's kinda hard to find.

gr8stalinWhat's the oldest roster in ESEA that's had mostly the same people on it?
Oldest currently used roster in ESEA is Five Dollar Club with 13 seasons https://play.esea.net/teams/40643
Egyptian Flamingos has had a roster since season 9 (only 6 seasons though) https://play.esea.net/teams/52086
Meat Market has had 8 consecutive seasons https://play.esea.net/teams/64532
Froyotech has 7 consecutive seasons of invite https://play.esea.net/teams/69987
Not sure how consistent their rosters have been though

a lot of people tend to think of shrugger as the ultimate lan choker, but they forget such famous instances as:
-smaka being on 75 fov for like the first half of a lan (which, to be fair, shrugger did as well on map 1 of his first lan)
-enigma's dreadful performance at his first lan in s6
-weeble utterly flopping at lan
-shade's very first lan, as demo in s5, filling in for pandemic because he happened to live in the area (not really a choke because he wasnt close to invite at the time)
I wonder if people also remember that first lan, where a) one of the top 4 teams couldn't go because their sponsor fucked them over, and b) all 4 of the teams that did go had players missing from their normal lineup (animeman for enigma on coL, davis for destro on EG, shade for kermit on pandemic, sequel for hong on blight)
or s6 lan where oplaid got the admins to force a single bo5 finals instead of 2 bo3s for the lower bracket teams due to flight schedule and beat fanom that way
or s7 where eg didnt go because cyzer accidentally gave the team password to everyone on gotfrag so they couldn't roster flame when they needed him
s8 seemed the most normal lan so far, until the aforementioned trophy incident
man, early lans had so much more personality

s14 open finals between itallion stallions and street hoops (the first iteration) was the last time an open finals hosted no players with previous experience above open
today, nearly half of those players have played in invite: dingo, arctic joe, paragon, deadbolt, ash

to clarify:
the origin of egyptian flamingos was that mmj(?) team with stampeed and zclipse, which eventually got claimed by mad men in IM, went to invite as nNn, then just sat there til s18 when the current players on it used it in open
the meat market roster started as brackets, then became that weird team blueberry made, and stayed that way til broking got it to remake meat market in s18
the five dollar club roster started with that klickin with klicka team that had buddha, caidh and defiance, then it became that weird AG revival, then r5, then that team with dbw and duwatna and giffy in main or something, then became sorta chill 2 good-y and then that cisco adler team, and finally five dollar club
I hope this was as boring to read as it was to write
