i'm sorry but this still bugs me. do we keep -dxlevel 81 on the launch properties or not?

no

Giraffearcadiawith the addition of new weapon skins, is there anyway to edit the config to be able to see your own viewmodel with a higher quality without a significant loss of fps?I was wondering this too
Depends on the definition of "significant" and the only things I know of would affect a whole lot more than just your viewmodels.

Your choice really, some people have alt+tab issues with it in, some don't and from my experience leaving it in gives tf2 more consistent FPS if you rarely restart your PC.

santababyHergano_oWhyMeo_oRynoo_oWhyMeo_oHyperi0no_oWhyMeo_oThis config breaks my mumble overlay. Any idea what might be causing this?
have you still got -dxlevel 81 in your launch options?
Nope.
mat_antialias 0
It appears to be set to that by default.
Remove it from the config, no matter what the setting for this command is
try putting -nod3d9ex in your launch options. fixed it for me.
This will make alt tabbing very slow. Set mat_antialias and mat_forceaniso to 1 in your config and *make sure there are no duplicate entries of this cvar in any of your configs*

Whenever I shoot using (e.g shotgun), I don't see the bullet flying out of the gun. How do I enable to bullet visual again?

maybe r_drawtracers_firstperson
set it to 1
maybe r_drawtracers_firstperson
set it to 1
if you add -nod3d9ex to launch options, are the following cvars irrelevant? (or are they irrelevant anyways?)
mat_supports_d3d9ex
mat_disable_d3d9ex

mat_disable_d3d9ex
Yo, I've noticed since the gun mettle update (maybe before?) that sometimes I get this strange mouse lag. For example, when doing flicks shots or even just strafing, it somethimes feels as though my sensitive has been halved. I remember noticing something when playing on a pub about a week ago. I thought it was related to the subpar fps I was getting (due to the recent update) so I changed back from dx90 to dx81. However I noticed yesterday it was happening again when I was doing my snowplow contract. I also set cl_ejectbrass to 1, but I can't remember if I did it because of the mouse lag or because my TF2 sometimes stutters, so could that potentially be the problem? I also thought vertical sync could have been the problem, but it's set to 0 in my config and my video setting confirm that its disabled.
Might be a stupid question, but still. I'm about to switch from a 60 Hz 1680x1050 monitor to a 144 Hz 1920x1080. Right now I'm getting around 144 FPS (via benchmark) with your config. Would I lose FPS when I switch to a higher resolution and if yes, how much would it be? What else could I do to increase it a bit more?

You'll likely lose FPS do to the different Aspect Ratio. You're currently on 16:10 and are moving to 16:9. So you'll see a small fps drop, but on the bright side you'll have a higher FOV.

it's not wrong, but it's still dumb. No reason to use those files when they would work just fine in custom, and the custom ones get priority.

hi,i recently use ur config, but i found the consle keeping showing this"Attemped to precache unknown particle system "grenade_smoke_cycle" which makes me keep laggy, how can i deal with this?currently i am using dx81 and if i chnge to dx90,it doesn't happen but more lag, at the same time, i amusing the MOD and script suggested here https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/1mb8tq/,plz solve my problem, thx m8
azarunIf you feel like these mods cause lags then just delete them. If you dont know how to delete them then delete custom folder. Then create new one and place there folder/cfg/autoexec.cfg with comanglias config.
Also this thread is dead. Next time Go to http://www.teamfortress.tv/25328/comanglia-s-config-fps-guide
the lag is not even cauise by the mod,i have tried deleting them and just use the config, lag is still here and caused by the "Attemped to precache unknown particle system "grenade_smoke_cycle" ,as this sentence get out , my char will freeze

This thread is not the official thread anymore, his is stickied.
Also, Comanglia has everything and tidy and neat and organized. If you had opened your autoexec, you'd see this in it:
