If only european teams didn't fucking fold after they finished every season, gg great final tho but froyo having more experience together clearly was an advantage, i58 for an EU team to step it up and get even better synergy?

exactly this. shuffling after every season is going to make it much more difficult to take down a team that has been together (and the best) for over 2 years. some people need to commit into it if they want to dethrone froyo i think

am i the only one tired of seeing them win every time?
we need some diversity for crying out loud.
The upper bracket finals were incredibly exciting. I think if Froyo, Reason, nR and Ascent stay together, stay active and come back next year we'll probably see even more insane TF2 than this year.

How come there wasn't another game after Froyo won? Isn't that the point of double elimination, everyone has to lose twice.

It's never worked like that at Insomnia, for whatever reason.

Was inevitable i suppose. GG to both teams and congrats to Froyo for their deserved win.
All things considered all eu teams had very impressive runs, reason improving a lot since day 1, tlr surprising everyone in the groups and nerdrage beating froyo for the first time in a bo3 at lan with probably the best series of tf2 ever played. But in the end that wasn't enough and the chemistry and experience froyo has definitely showed, Props to them for the very solid tf2 played and showing up in the crucial games
I agree that all the eu teams suffered from lack of experience playing together and chemistry I just hope with matchmaking on the way we can get some more stability finally instead of every season reshuffling and I also hope we don't get fucked by luck (sdburn visa, hys injury, reason having to get a new scout for lan etc) this time around next year.

I predict a Reason and Nerdrage fold and Fulltilt to win Prem
froyo's consistency in methodical play is something so easily admired. their level of coordination is simply unmatched.
i was quite disappointed by the last two maps as a spectator, but froyo (again) deserved their win.
what a team!
grats to froyo! incredible players, incredible chemistry.

final was a bo5 not a bo3 like the game froyo lost.

The upper bracket advantage was in not having to play the lower final today, as well as getting to both ban second and pick first (AFAIK) during the map selection process. The setup was similar to tournaments like The International, which have best-of-three series for most of the tournament and a best-of-five finals with no point advantage for the upper bracket winner.

I mean everyone with a brain recognizes that the overall talent pool in NA compared to EU is remarkably similar, which is pretty rare compared to most games where different regions have vastly different levels.
We don't really need iseries events to tell us that, they tell us which region has the better team at the moment obviously but the two regions maintain parity overall.
