I get more easily immersed in the dark so I generally keep the lights off and the shades closed.

Lights off during the day cus sunlight is enough but in the evening I switch a lamp on

I can't stand playing with lights on, but I have noticed my eyesight getting worse over the last few years. Whether or not that's due to gaming with lights off, I don't know. Is that true or is it actually a myth? If it's true I guess I'll start turning on a lamp so my eyes don't get even worse...

Nobody has been able to prove that looking at a screen in the dark causes long term eye damage. It is very common for it to temporary affect your vision in the form of discomfort or eye strain. In general, your vision will get worse as you get older but I'd definitely recommend seeing a doctor as there are many treatments that slow the loss of vision down.

i've got a light across the room so it's kinda dim where i'm sitting but theres still enough light to get up and walk around without kicking anything

i play with christmas lights on its not very bright but they look cool and i can sorta see around my room
