I've had a Qnix monitor (not this one). My advice: don't get one. On mine, the power button broke after three months.
No easy way to turn it on/off. Just cheap plastic or something in the switch itself. The entire monitor reeked of poor design and terrible quality control, the stand was terrible, it took forever to turn on, etc.

Much better off spending the extra $50 and getting a warehouse deal on Benq or Asus monitor from Amazon, imo. But hey, if you literally can't afford that much extra at all, maybe it's worth the gamble. But I would steer clear, myself.

Reviews look sketch as fuck. I would just save for the Monoprice if you're considering that one.

I own the ASUS 144Hz. personally and I highly recommend it.

seen this in another thread and decided to pull the trigger. i am coming from a sony gdm-fw900 so i will post results. i dont have super high expectations for a 160 dollar monitor but i hope i dont get severely heartbroken. one reviewer said 3.5ms response time, others have said 1ms, it doesnt seem to be documented by monoprice. i missed the asus for around 200 and dont feel like buying a used/refurbished one.

ps food for thought- neweggs 3rd party refund policy for the QNIX (which looks like shit btw) is like 15% restocking fee if opened or unless its DOA. Monoprices refund policy with theirs seems to be you only pay return S&H

If I recall this is basically the same as every other monitor manufacturer, it's also heavily influenced on where the dead pixels are. Pretty sure BenQ is 0-3 in the center of the screen with no more than 5 total. (I learned this after having 1 dead pixel on my monitor after owning it for 1 week about a year ago)

The Korean monitor manufacturers (qnix, x-star, maybe others), use the same panels as the well known manufacturers, but they take the rejects from the factories (a- and a panels rather than the a+ panels that get sent to Asus and such) which is why they can sell them cheaper. So that's the tradeoff you make, cheaper monitor for the (high) chance of dead pixels. Also cheap stands. I think monoprice is more reliable than qnix and xstar but that's just based on past experiences with their products, I've never tried their monitors.

I use this monitor and got it with no problems. As everyone has stated it's a gamble but from what I understand you can buy them from the seller greensum on ebay for like the same price and its supposed to be somewhat reputable. I know one other person that bought the 27" version from greensum that has no problems as well. The speakers blow and the colors need a little tweaking but it's a good barebones 144hz. That being said it is, again, kind of a gamble (especially because the companies that sell these have pretty much non-existent customer support).
