I wrist pivot my mouse with a little bit of elbow movement too putting as little pressure on it as possible to make it move extremely fast on ~24cm which is why people think I use much higher. My grip of the mouse is kind of variable. I pickup my mouse shitloads but I also use the relatively high lift off distance of my mouse to keep moving it before I even put it down, sometimes I hover the mouse over the mousemat and just move it like that.
Everyone thinks my mouse movement is fucking weird so you probably shouldn't try to aim like that.
