Lawena crashing when using custom huds

What title says, can't use any custom huds without demos crashing after roughly 15 seconds. This happens both when placing huds directly into the lawena folder and using my own custom folder.

I have both my tf2 & lawena on my C disk while attempting to save to a folder on the G disk & this has been happening for a couple of months now.

Anyone that has had similar problems? :x
