luxorHey there! Hopefully this is an easy question. What command do I change to get a normal color for my UGC badge?

Assuming you're using Dx level 8 you'd have to add/change "mat_specular" to 0

Completely replace it.

So I crash whenever I join 2fort_invasion now. I use your maxfps config. A friend told me that when he switched to chris' highframes he stopped crashing, so I suspect it's something to do with the config. Anyone know the relevant command/s?

unless valve broke something the only command I would recommend trying is cl_threaded_bone_setup 0

I think I already have that setting - apparently it's to do with video settings in the menu. If they're all set to lowest, you crash when loading 2fort_invasion. Presumably it's just one particular command, if I can be bothered I'll isolate it tomorrow, although frankly I don't really mind not being able to play 2fort.

what happened to the toaster config link?

leonwhat happened to the toaster config link?
ComangliaI really should take the potato config down, there's alot of people who use it when they probably shouldn't
To many people were downloading it thinking it was the best one for them when it wasn't. I'd imagine less than 0.5% of the ENTIRE TF2 userbase should actually use that config.
I made that config for people who are on old netbooks with on chip GPUs. Literally people with fullsize laptops that are relatively new or even most desktops from the Windows XP era should be using the mid-quality PC one.

I'm currently using it on my older notebook (HP from 2005, I have no other way playing TF) and I couldn't find better config for it. Even thought it was removed, will it ever get updated when necessary (broken commands and stuff)?

what are the downsides to using that config if your computer isnt bad, and if it did help with extra fps why wouldnt we use it?

Look up DriveTheLife and have a scan with that because it seems like your drivers are a little outdated by the;
pastebinMonitor Name: Generic PnP Monitor
pastebinMonitor Model: unknown
least whenever mine are they say that and if your drivers are not updated you can update them and possibly achieve some higher frames.

my gpu has issues with most of maps so i get shitty fps drops but for normal maps 40-50 (like mge, bball, ultiduo)
I use mat_viewportscale 0.8 though, I like the little blur on the textures.

Is 'No Hat's Mod Particle Effects remover' still necessary in the latest versions? I've seen some unusual effects, but wouldn't call them "particles".
Also, there is no smoke from bullet holes when decals are disabled right?
mp_decals 0

compared to the stability one their's 5 differences if I recall
mat_filterlightmaps (extremely marginal difference for super low end gfx users)
mat_filtertextures (extremely marginal difference for super low end gfx users)
mat_specular (a small but real difference)
mat_trilinear (extremely marginal difference for super low end gfx users)
mat_viewportupscale (the most drastic change that does help people with shitty PCs, but it makes the game horrifyingly blurry)
Mr_Harvardhey comanglia, i have a question, how come my lerp is 14 instead of 15.2?
cl_updaterate 67 (instead of 66)
cl_cmdrate 67 (instead of 66)
let me be more specific here
1/66 = .01515
1/67 = .01492

My fps keeps dropping randomly from smooth 300-400 to 50-100 and stutters like shit with any fps configs on any res for 2 years, this only happends in tf2. I literally tried everything from reinstalling tf an configs, setting max performance and all the other shit. Anything else I can try doing besides buying a new cpu? ;D

I have been watching demos lately and only in demos props are black. Is this TF2 being TF2 or is this a graphical setting used in Comanglia's FPS config? I have posted an example from the Ascent- vs. TSU match last night.
