I'm curious so i'm asking thous who have the upgrade, is it worth the 250 bucks for the monitor? Is it noticeable? and will it possibly help improve my rocket aim. I have a pc that can easily drive it so no problems there.I am talking specifically about this one everyone seems to use

This one is cheaper and just as good.

Response time and input lag are both very well. You can't notice a difference between the monitors, I have tried them both The extra $50 for the one you want is not worth it.

144 hz will be the best piece of gear you can pick up besides good mouse/processor or graphics card.

yes. the reason everyone has this monitor is because it gives you the performance you want and it's a lot cheaper than other alternatives for the same performance. i think the only downside is color and build quality.

also i have a Acer GN246HL and it's not as good imo. i use it as a side monitor now.

I still stand by my acer though. If you are not going to buy it just because you don't like the brand, that's your loss. I personally have had no problems with it at all. You should at least look at the reviews before you judge it.

The difference from the asus and benq models sitting at around $250 is very small, but if you want to save $50 it's a good pickup. It's the cheapest 144hz that I am aware of, and it provides pretty good bang for your buck. The acer has a slightly higher pixel ratio though, 100,000,000:1 vs 80,000,000:1

Then again, if you are looking into buying something like this, you will want to best quality you can get, and it might very well be worth the extra $50 for you. Try and see them both in person, but if you can't you will have to make the decision yourself.

I tried one at one of the Portland lans and just moving the mouse on the desktop was enough to get hard.

I then went back to my own computer and everything felt laggy.

I have the Asus VG248QE... However, I've heard good things about newer the LG 144Hz the 24GM77 I think. In many tests it has outperformed the Asus. And it has a built in strobe (lightboost) implementation, where the Asus you have to use software for lightboost and the colors go to absolute shit when lightboost is enabled.
