Getawhale Fanclub is the next team to seek changes, with half of its players and its sponsorship lost for various reasons. The Season 19 Intermediate winners full of Invite newcomers got off to a hot start by taking three wins without dropping a round, but were ultimately unable to maintain the streak, and were ultimately sunk by losses to Strawberry Mangoes and Meat Market that left them a few games out of the fourth and final playoff spot.

Despite some of the successes of the team throughout the season, Goldfish (pocket soldier), Avast (demoman), and Linkuser (scout) are all stepping down from the roster. This leaves the roster seeking several new players for next season. The team has already decided to switch aim from roamer to pocket, returning him to the role with which the team won Intermediate last season. In addition, the team's sponsorship by community personality Getawhale will not be renewed for next season, and they are now going by the name Luca Goers.

Nursey, the team's medic and leader, said the following about the team's future:

With our previous roster, there was some tension in the team based on how we wanted to approach the game and how we were going to play as a team. As long as we get a team who are all on the same page and have fun playing, we can remain much more consistent.

The three of us are pretty confident we can make playoffs if we get the right team together. That's our main goal for next season.
