The disbanding of froyotech during the ESEA Season 20 playoffs last month left team captain b4nny searching for a new team in order to compete once again at the highest echelons of competitive TF2.

Today, that search has finally come to an end, as he announced the pickup of the remnants of the Strawberry Mangoes roster (which had an interesting run in Invite last season, where they initially disbanded after being knocked out of playoff contention by Meat Market) as part of his new team.

The players picked up include corsa and Freestate as the scout pair, known for passive and aggressive play respectively, as well as Muma, who has been noted as a rising demoman star. In addition, paddie, who has played most recently on Kawaii Five-0, will be joining the team as roamer. The team is still determining who will be their medic.

The team will carry on the name of froyotech, looking to live up to the legacy the original team set during its nearly two-year reign over North America and the world.

b4nny is building another team to win it all

Team captain b4nny had the following thoughts:

I feel good about starting fresh with a group of players that are driven to practice, improve, and win. I've been down this road before where I joined with some lesser-known up-and-coming players and went on to win championships with them, so I'm hoping that I can combine my experienced leadership with their passion to play and turn it into something great once again. Like any team I join, my team is on the same page with me on our drive to win.

Scout Freestate, who was the captain for Strawberry Mangoes, shared the following with us:

We're very happy that b4nny is joining us, because he's a great player with a lot to offer, both in and out of game. He's a strong caller, which we desperately lacked last season, and he also has a ton of knowledge and understanding of the game. At the same time, we're all hungry and eager to improve, so we think that he'll be a great fit for us. We thought b4nny should take over as captain since he has so much experience and success with leading teams at the top of Invite. Right now we're working on building chemistry with this new roster, and we're aiming for the top. We realize that for now we probably won't be the powerhouse that froyotech was, but we're hoping that, with time, we'll be just as strong. We're all looking forward to an exciting season.
