why is the tftv stream list cut off so much shorter than the other tabs (there are 19 people streaming on tftv during the screenshot)

I imagine because certain people aren't registered with the site to have their stream listed (Primarily pub streamers like silkpenny etc)
Would be nice to have a larger list though.
Yeah the tf.tv list is for people who are on the tftv twitch team, regardless of game

The TF2 list is for people streaming TF2
Oh, my bad
what he's saying is there are 19 people listed on tftv in the streams tab but they aren't listed on the side for whatever reason
Probably twitch API being buggy?
I mean, I'm not sure if I'm being trolled or something. Since Teamfortress Streams are not TFTV streams, but if they aren't live they aren't listed.
I guess i'm confused what he's getting at.
he's saying that if the tf2 stream list allows so many people why doesn't the tftv stream list allow that much considering the tftv list has more than is being shown
You have to apply and be approved via Comp TF2 experience to show up in the TF.tv section of the stream sidebar. TF2 section is just scraped from Twitch as anyone listed as playing TF2.

As far as I'm aware, the TF.TV list comes from the teamfortress.tv twitch team and is sorted into TF2 streams and then non-TF2 streams. Don't know why some people on the twitch team (you can see who is online from the team here http://www.teamfortress.tv/streams) aren't being shown in the list but we're aware of it, just waiting on word from enigma.
NONE OF YOU ARE READING HOLY SHIT
His question is: why is the default list (tftv) only allowed to show 11 streams while if you select TF2 you can see 20
theres a discrepancy between the list on /streams and the actual list on the page
the page has an arbitrary cutoff somewhere that the tf2 list doesn't have, a limit on how many people can be shown (notice how it cuts off a lot more people who aren't streaming tf2 because there are more people streaming tf2 than aren't right now)
this is what colly is asking about, not twitch teams or the twitch api. it's just the website's design (why would it be in site discussion otherwise)
thank u knuckles my tact was about to expire
Correct, this is how the website (TFTV) is designed. I can't remember why though. Something about too many 0 viewer streams.
This can probably be changed though.
