Looking to buy a BENQ XL2430T 144hz monitor in the near future (in time for MM) and would like to know if I will need upgrades to run TF2 in DX9 at 144 or 288 (unrealistic?) FPS. The computer is in storage at the moment, so I can't give current performance benchmarks, but hoped that some advice could be given. I'm aware that the GPU is on the low end, but don't plan on playing much beyond Source engine games.
Processor: Core i5-3570k (gift from friend, but not overclocked)
Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: NVIDIA GT 730 1GB
Mobo: Asus z77 sabertooth (LGA 1155)
Power supply: Cooler master silent pro gold 800W
