Grenade Launcher always uses the highest LOD model for me as well.

I think this was after the Gun Mettle Update, which added skins to game. It probably required the gun to use a high LOD in order for the skin to be shown in such high quality.

jnki_aka_tungstenyou cant have the blocky GL anymore, in the gun mettle update they increased the amount of polygons on the lowest LOD so the skins they released now dont look like absolute shit, but the festive GL is another story, its LOD remains unchanged, so if you want a blocky GL consider buying festive one
