is there a dif? my friend told me lyft is cheaper, are there any downsides to choosing lyft over uber or vice versa
they both do the same thing. i have friends who have both apps downloaded and use the one that happens to be cheaper that way, or they use both services to avoid surge pricing.
they've become quite similar in pricing. availability in major urban areas should be similar, but in general uber's driver pool is larger. uber is more professional, like a regular cab, whereas lyft is more akin to airbnb and a casual affair.
the app itself, i like uber better, seems more modern and has stuff like splitting fares which i don't think lyft has. but uber's surge pricing is ridiculous, esp in manhattan, which is when i switch to lyft. (i use uber like 3 times a week from work to home)

everyone I talk to says lyft is cheaper but that might just be a regional thing
uber sabotaged lyft or something iirc so that leads me to believe uber has more resources and is probably better as an application
cant speak to pricing
cant speak to pricing
we had a fantastic experience with all our Lyft drivers in Chicago. also heard a lot of them say they had driven with Uber but preferred Lyft. take that for what it is!
Uber is better most of the time but in some situations I like kritz.
