Asking help for video editing

Hello everybody,
I came here to ask for help for some video editing stuff ... basically I want to superpose two videos running at the same time
I have never actually video edited before .. and I came here because I know the community is mutliskilled !

What software are you using? By superimposing you mean both 50% transparent? In most programs this can be eachieved by simply dragging the videos over eachother in the timeline, or if that doesn't work, put one underneath the other and make the top one 50% transparent, usually done by dragging down the top of the video in the timeline.

I don't even know what to use yet x)
and no I mean one of them (that is smaller than the other in dimensions) will hide a part of the other one.

You just click the video in the viewport and rescale it usually, or select it in the timeline, go to properties and change the size. But why are you asking this if you don't even know what program you will be using?
