Must be running ESEA client to join the server?

My esea match is tonight and esea says my version is not correct and then when I join the server it kicks me 10 seconds later for the client not being open even though it is. What do we do? Entire team is having this problem. So is other team.

I got a very small TF2 update earlier. Not for sure if it was an old one or not, but if it wasn't, it may have fucked the client.

Was there an update since yesterday night? That's when I first installed ESEA. Also my team captain just reinstalled and is having the same issue.
Also I did get a small 5.4mb update a few hrs ago
