fucking huge move
literally top 7 potential right now
thank god they are getting rid of adren, he was TERRIBLE. its good to see koosta is getting on a top level NA team. Now with s1mple on the lineup as well and nitro doing great as of late, this team could make semi's in the next major if they keep their form or improve even more, as long as they work well together
happy to see my boy kne making it, from pug.na aimstar to top 3 awper na, #believe
preeetty interesting, see if they can improve to the level this would suggest
Depending on whether or not Adren coaches full time I would really like to see him bring back something like The Stream Team in premier which he did w/ Pex, Anger, and some other team mates from Dynamic I believe the season before his run w/ Liquid. Used to be so much fun watching all the matches and scrims when I was first starting out w/ watching CS.
pretty much played the same as Elige for the IEM qualifiers, but Elige doesn't play as poopy as him on most days.
This is a beautiful move. It allows s1mple to be one of NAs best rifler, and adds one of the best awps in NA. Despite how good s1mple can be with an awp, and even if you argue koosta awping over him is a downgrade, it is a huge upgrade in terms of liquid's firepower. They have nitr0, who I agree with thorin, is NA's best right now, clutch god hiko, the best up and coming awper in NA, and the potential to have super star simple.
While it's unfortunate they cannot use Koosta at MLG Columbus, it makes liquid much better in the long run, and gives them time to get Koosta up to speed before the summer major. I am very excited for this move.
I'm down for -elige +koosta no joke. I think elige as a player is not as good as nitr0 as a straight pure entry. Then s1mple and koosta would be dirty as fuck as 2nd entry and awping.
But -adreN +koosta is great too cause that guys really ass as both a player and an IGL.
Good thing I've been on the liquid train since Naf cause now I'm getting the team NA deserves!!
Really cool to see an NA team actually taking gambles to improve
I actually think adreN is really bad at an IGL but he does have some decent strats that even steel and dazed have said are pretty solid. I'm really not a fan of adren but I think as a coach he could be decent just because his strat production / knowledge. I'm pretty sure gbjames is more of a manager type anyway but we can't really know. That's like worst case scenario
the elige + nitro entry combo is godlike right now, so there is no way they would cut elige over adren
Pendathe elige + nitro entry combo is godlike right now, so there is no way they would cut elige over adren
That's not true at all. Since like 3 months ago that hasn't been true it's been nitr0 making elige look good (and elige's CT sides have been pretty weak as of recent) and anyway I said I would prefer adren but elige is cool too

I guess it comes down to the call structure of the team.
Cutting adren shifts who calls, depending who the new IGL is, and depending how good an IGL they are will change whether it was the right move or not. Basically, I would rather keep adren over elige if the new call structure sucks. That said, if the new IGL is better, cutting adren is a good move, as it allows the leadership change, and gives elige a chance to rebound into better form, as objectively, he has more potential than adren.
Cannot believe people actually still try to defend adreN
cool guy but obviously not good enough of a player for this tier of a team (would be a cool caster/analyst or coach IMO)
good move to pick up koosta
Only a few NA players can compete in EU. And half of them are banned. Liquid currently holds 3 eu level players (hiko simple and nitro) and c9 holds 3 as well (freak nothing skadoodle) but other than that and ex-ipb i see almost not talent in na than can beat EU. also shroud is a pug champ not a god like reddit likes to claim.
n0thing cannot compete at an eu level anymore, hes too inconsistent and undecisive. freak has evolved as a player a lot and can perform at a EU level with a very controlling IGL, a ex6tenz personality. Shroud is a very good player but relies on someone to go first for him, hes a great passive supporting player, but his entrying is far lacking. TL at the moment with the koosta pickup would be the strongest in NA by far. When c9 gets a 6th man/ coach IGL then they will start to get up to TL's level. And ska is in a bit of a slump atm, but is definetly world class talent.

One thing I didn't think of is who plays for liquid at the major/qualifier?
Will adren play if he's being replaced, or will they pick up a new 5th? Who is even available, who would consider doing it, since if they play in the major they can't play in the minors?
