Nice! I've been wanting to get in on one of these!
I just did the newbie mix this evening and I had a great time. I'd had some experience in the pug irc (pug.na and tf2mix) and it was meh... But I did 3 newbie mix matches and they were excellent. I main scout, and I actually feel like I got some synergy with my scoutbro and (to a small extent) my roamer. It was very rewarding. Thanks to the people who make newbie mixes happen, especially the coaches!
For the guys who did late night mixing/pugging, I got it all on stream (the granary and process epic battles, specifically)

It is from my POV, so you might not see that epic medic airshot you had or the crazy 5K on mid, but it's still worth watching. I captured a lot of your great moments, especially if you were on my (shredder.P2L)'s team. It's 1080p at, 30 FPS (I think?), so quality is good. Quick shoutout to reilly and Walka for sticking with the newbie mix all night :)

That was really a lot of fun, if kind of humbling. Boy do I have a lot to learn. Thanks to everyone involved, and especially Brad and Eldritch for the coaching.
Sev, in case you haven't seen it yet, you should check out this reddit post.

I was going to link it to you last night, but I couldn't find it until this morning. Great work last night too! You were really enthusiastic and willing to learn and I think everyone appreciated it.

Huff, Walka, and JP taught me so much last night. Made it a lot easier for me to understand how to play and they gave very nice constructive feedback as well. Will definitely be attending again.
