i remember going to a pre-season lakers game as a kid it was fuckin cool watching kobe dude
he was one of the reasons why i really enjoyed basketball... let his legend live on
He was a massive jerk, to his teammates and coaches. But he worked his ass off and is one of the greatest to play the game, and for that I respect him.
my mom made me a fan of him from when I lived in cali in 02, saw him once outside a hotel in boston in like 04
He was an asshole. But let's be real many players who come in and are new and really good start to get an ego, but to get to the level where kobe is you can't have that ego anymore.
hes a fag in all the right ways
Reminder Kevin Durant has YET to play Lil-B one on one, as such this song is still valid:
The man's work ethic was second to none. For me personally, up there with bruce lee and muhammad ali in terms of inspiration. Sad to see the mamba hang them up but to us lakers fan he will always be loved.

Fuck You
that was simultaneously the most hilarious and most fitting way kobe could go out
he just broke the record...for field goal attempts
The first game of basketball I remember ever watching was when I lived in Vegas and had the opportunity to go to a Sunday game at the Staples Center. It was the Lakers vs whoever it was and despite having nosebleed seats, it was amazing. It was in 2000, the season starting their 3 peat and the environment was absolutely incredible. I haven't kept up much lately, though it's kind of hard to when the team is where it's at now. Anyway, I've loved the team as much as I could for the past 16 years and Kobe was the only guy to be there that long. It's no longer the team I'm used to cheering for in any way at all and it sucks. I'm gonna miss watching him dominate. Hopefully he decides to dominate as far as coaching or something else goes.
Man what a befitting end. The mvp chants made me feel like I'd gone back in time a decade.
a shame he didn't end the world with one final chaos dunk
