Can't connect to mumble servers

Every time I try to connect to a mumble server it gets me this error
"[8:01:30 PM] Mumble failed to retrieve version information from the central server."

Update your mumble, re-install, or get a new certificate from one of the certificate generator sites mumble recommends, one of those should most likely fix it

If that doesn't work, someone had the same problem as you here, and some solutions were posted. Was a while ago, but might still be relevant.
