it looks cool but the price point is insane. 999$ bucks is a big investment for a portable PC really when you can easily make a great desktop or even get a decent laptop.

Being able to upgrade it and swap parts is pretty cool, but my entire gaming PC cost less than that tiny little box. Doesn't make much sense.

The X7A starts at $999, so Valve will likely want to reduce the RRP in line with its own specifications. The entry-level X5A, which uses Linux, starts at $499.

In order to compete in this console market valve has to start commercializing the fuck outta this. It can work though, the fact that steam supports console controllers I can see a lot of xbox and ps triple fans making the switch.
