This is the fucking maddest season I have ever witnessed.
For those that don't follow football too much this is like Kobe Bryant becoming the #1 chess player in the world.

For some context.
Leicester is an english football / soccer club, last season, they we're about to get relegated to the second division of english football but they barely stayed on the first division last season, and now they won the fucking league.
basically imagine the nets winning the nba finals
con-fucking-grats leicester

It is the best ending I could have imagined as a Chelsea fan, seeing Ranieri winning the title and sealing it for them at the Bridge is awesome.
Hearing the Chelsea fans sing "Leicester, Leicester, Leicester" when Hazard equalized was also insane.

I heard he was trying to weasel out of it by stipulating that the lights be out in the studio???
anyways, I watched every single leicester game this season since like november, some of the most fun counter-attacking football I've seen, such a complete team too
really was the perfect cinderella story
and according to the bookies, there were better odds of a kardashian becoming president, or simon cowell becoming prime minister

Article is very clickbait but still puts in perspective how mind boggling were the odds for leicester to win the title at 5000-1

ESPN did a similar article that listed how unlikely this was compared to other things in sport, especially in the states.

It's a great night for English football, fans of smaller teams like me (West Ham United all the way) can take inspiration from the Leicester story. So good to see a team like Leicester win the title, to compare achievements it's like Lazy Pandas winning i58. Beautiful moment.

As a proud English football fan, I've never seen a more exciting season ever. The most underdog of all underdog stories. Next season, with added Guardiola and Conte, should be even better!

honestly, if the guardiola-run city finishes anywhere other than 1st place, it'll be an underachievement
not that man city is a stranger to underachieving, but yeah, they just have too much talent

I personally don't think Guardiola is ready for the premier leauge like Conte should be, or other managers like mourinho are. I don't think Guardiola can get the best out of his squad.

Here in Italy, when the local channels announced that Ranieri was going to Leicester City, everyone was like "This must be a joke" "Worst decision of the year" "Leicester to get relegated for sure this year" "Everyone is better than Ranieri"
And then we all know what happened.
Congrats
