TF2 crashing randomly (PREC?)

I'm not talking about the game crashing when starting a MM game with PREC installed. I'm talking about random crashes while I'm playing in pubs and tournament mode. The game will just seem to randomly crash with a "hl2.exe has stopped responding" message. I'm not sure if PREC is the one causing it, but I removed PREC and it seems a lot more stable.

I put -windowed -noborder in my launch options and that fixed it for me. Haven't had an hl2 crash for a week and I used to get them 2-5 times a day.

already using window noborder.

And to clarify, I haven't had a crash with PREC uninstalled.

Okay, it happened without PREC. I feel like it happens more often with PREC but I'll just chalk it up to chance.
