Matchmaking requires a premium tf2 account and a phone number attached to your steam account, i've got / had both for a couple years now yet it says I require a phone number attached to my account, is this a server error or a problem on my side?

Is the phone number you using from an actually a number from a provider or just one you get from skype,google voice or free text apps..
