dont, use duct tape on the side of your desk

i gets the mouse wire out of the way. mostly for convienience

They're pretty much just decorative. I just tape my mouse cord to the back of my monitor because it was getting caught on my mouse pad.

Electrical tape on the desk works well, and doesn't leave adhesive. Also its way cheaper.

I've actually wrapped a little bit of mine around one of the cords on the back of my monitor. I just made sure before that it would reach the far edges of my desk (and mousepad) just fine and it's worked perfectly for me since.
