Demoviewer is a tool I made to manage your demo files and view a few extra details about them. The key ones include
- Events recorded from ds_record (bookmarks, killstreaks)
- Map the demo was played on
- Username at the time the demo was recorded
Launching demos
Right now this tool can launch TF2 directly into a demo by double clicking it (or selecting Demo>Play), however TF2 doesn't offer a way to start a demo if TF2 is already open, unfortunately. I've emailed them about this but didn't even get the standard "I'll forward this to the team" so I wouldn't count on this changing any time soon.

TF2 can now auto record on mp_tournament servers, but apparently it starts recording as soon as your enter the server, rather than when both teams ready up. You may want a manual bind instead if you choose to use ds.

Feel free to contribute if it so pleases you
PS. I don't actually have a computer with Windows (other than a tablet, which doesn't have room for TF2) so chances are there are some bugs since I can't really test well. Please report them here.

woah this will be super useful, thanks
edit : if there's a way where you can filter it for non-matchmaking / casual demos, it would be very helpful since by default all of them are in a single folder and it would cut a lot of time finding a non-matchmaking / casual demo to look at
edit2 : i have it to auto-record tournament matches but that also includes all casual and matchmaking games as well as normal tournament games

Not likely. They all have the same naming scheme and there isn't any data in the demo files themselves that distinguish them.
indecencymake pugme a thing again
My community experience from making pugme made me quit the game for nearly a year.

just a detail: when i double click in a demo it says it cannot find Steam (searches for it in program files but i have it elsewhere)

@Dango. Nice little program you got going on.
As for the "play while TF2 is open" thing maybe just create a macro for it? IE
WinActivate("hl2.exe")
Send("~") --- have an option in the program to set what your console open key is
Send("play demopath")
Just an idea for now until you hear back from them?
Good luck!

Also if you want to test your program look into virtual box for setting up a windows vm. You will still need to get an iso image that can be downloaded from Microsoft You will need to run the tool on that tablet. (assuming it has a usb port and you have a free usb to move the iso image onto.
Sometimes the map is completely wrong when I click on the demo. It tried telling me a Cp_Gullywash demo was on a jump map from the demo bellow it?
Edit 1- Delete demo button does not delete the demo

dangoI've emailed them about this but didn't even get the standard "I'll forward this to the team" so I wouldn't count on this changing any time soon.
Glad I'm not the only one who's been dealing with this lack of communication.
I usually don't get any sort of response unless it's related to FLan medals which is extremely disappointing.
