I have 150-300 ping on servers I typically get 10-30 ping to in chicago (I live in CNY). Interestingly, valve servers and very specific community servers I have no ping issues with. I have tried:
- Checking to make sure my network settings havent been fucked with
- Restarting TF2
- Restarting Steam
- Restarting my PC
- Restarting my router
Any tips?

have u tried using ur phone hotspot to see if that's the issue with ur pc or ur network
i used to get raped with choke and loss to all netcodeguides and fragshack servers because my isp sucked but it'd be fine with valve servers and all tf2 servers, thought something was blocking a port or something but no twc just fucking sucks

don't have a wireless NIC, that and my ISP is ussually great

If you're in the NJ area you're not alone, it's been happening to everyone. Bad weather I think. Probably should respond back if it stays bad for a few days otherwise 2 hours is nothing, any number of routing issues could happen.

I'm in Syracuse, NY about 3-4 hours out from new jersey. It may be the weather like you said though, i'll wait it out and see.

I have Verizon FIOS as well, probably an ISP thing :P
