im looking to buy one of these, or i might go for the benq xl2410T since it has alot of reviews and background experiences. These 2 monitors are brand new and just released so i dont know how good they are. both are only $280 range while the xl2410t is $380 for some reason.
im leaning towards the benq, please give your thoughts

I would say BenQ as they specialize in display products (monitors, projectors, etc) and having my XL2410T which I love I would recommended BenQ.

Just a note but the XL2410T is discontinued now so you can only order the XL2410Tx although the price on it has dropped a little.

I have the Asus, I love it.

#2 I dont know anything about these two particular models, but just because asus is a general computer equipment manufacturer doesnt make their monitors worse than anyone else's. Their IPS monitor line is fantastic for the price and even competitive with some of the stupidly expensive IPS panels.

Oh for sure don't get me wrong I've been eyeing those ASUS IPS monitors myself as they're brilliant but for the experience I've had with 120Hz with BenQ I would get another 120Hz from BenQ.

2411t, can use lightboost2 with nvidia card.
also where do you see a 2411t being sold, in the US?

The VG248QE is brand new so not a lot of people have them yet, I ordered one last week and it should be here this week so I'll be able to give you some feedback on it when it gets here.
That said, if its anything like the VG278 then it'll probably have slightly more input lag than the BenQ and better image quality than the BenQ. No word on how the 248QE stacks up to the 2411t while running lightboost, the 2411 is currently the best Lightboost monitor right now with nearly no motion blur and no ghosting.
I'd skip over the 2410t especially at that price, you could get a 2420T for that kind of money if you really wanted a BenQ.

The BenQ monitors have a nice ability to swivel, slide, and tilt, which can be handy if you like to move your monitor around. The only downside is that it doesn't really tilt downward much, just every other direction

i really just want to know if the asus monitor $289 on newegg right now will compare with the benQ xl2420t ... I've been wanting to upgrade from my Acer 20" for years but was never able to shell out $400 for the benq.... anyone know if the asus is on par with the xl2420t when it comes to gaming? i'm extremely picky when it comes to input lag, and i even resold a 24inch samsung monitor that i tried to upgrade to, but i just hated it because of the noticeable input lag on it and switched back to my old Acer 2ms.

When I adjust LightBoost via monitor OSD menu from 100% down to about 50%, the motion becomes even clearer. (If you prefer a dimmer image, you can adjust it down to as low as 10%, don't use "OFF"). It adjusts the length of the stroboscopic backlight flashes between 1.4 milliseconds to 2.4 milliseconds.
LightBoost set to 100% = 7x clearer motion than 60Hz
LightBoost set to 50% = 10x clearer motion than 60Hz
LightBoost set to 10% = 12x clearer motion than 60Hz (too dim though)
