So I was looking though the server browser trying to find a nice server to play and I took out all the Idle, Trade, 24/7 and the only server running a rotation was a furry server, so I joined that and all they were doing were standing around in a group on Harvest. Probably ERPing there tbh. What happened to all the servers running more then two maps? Why is there no interest in them anymore? I'd love to play a server running a payload rotation with community and stock maps.
skial and ugc and i think na has firepowered are the only pubs really running nowadays
wtztheyve been dead since quickplayy ho
Yea it's really sad :( They should add an option to queue for community servers running custom maps. That might bring life back to them.
valve servers were literally the best pub servers

I've tried plenty of stuff and held daily events for months, the fact is that pretty much nobody wants to join an empty server... Most complain about the lack of community servers but are only willing to join ones that are already populated, which is understandable, but frustrating. There's really no good avenue of promoting a community server either, just threads on forums and reddit that die quickly.
Uncle dane's gameshock servers are also quite popular.
I miss going to a server running the dm_store map and just killing for hours and hours.
i still go to skial 2fort servers alot. pretty fun.
just join skial or something lol
why do you want to be so hipster

Never seen these in the server browser. I'll go find myself a link.

100%. Casual queueing and community pubs are so much less fun for me, so I just pub way less now overall.

idk why the game makes you wait so much to play now
wait for a queue, wait a minute for warmup, then wait another 10 secs for a pointless countdown. plus setup time. rounds are usually rolls in 5 mins (objective wise, not that every game ends in spawn camping) and then you get dumped back to the main menu. it makes me actually hate playing casual

These gameshock servers are actually good and filled with players. I hope they're always like this. They could add some community maps though.

These would be prefect if they dropped the extra plugins (Like the points one that is useless, the server dose not feel as smooth as say a comp server, i'm pretty sure it has to do with the plugins causing extra overhead) I dont mind the text chat based adverts as they are not intrusive and still help to run the servers and pay for uptime. (Plus I can easily just turn chat off)
(Maybe disable random crits?)
Other than those 2 complaints these are pretty much perfect.

Wouldn't play a server with out crits. What they need to do is add more then stock maps.
