What does these setting do?
dxlevel 81 makes your graphics worse, but higher fps (you can't use dx 81 for competitive matchmaking) after loading up dxlevel 81 for the first time take it out. nojoy and noipx are useless, idk about high. If you need better fps check out Comanglia's config.

You may want to include -novid to skip the video before the tf2 main menu. High I believe "forces" your comp to allocate more power into running tf2, therefore apparently giving you better performance. No idea if this does anything or helps at all but I read that somewhere on a non tftv thread (it wasn't reddit because I never go there) that high apparently has that effect on your computer when put into your launch options

also idk if this is a bug or not but I once joined a casual mm server on dx8 and didn't get anything about having to switch to dx9. Also I'm sure it was dx8 because my stickybomb launcher skin wasn't showing

You can run dx8 in casual. Just not matchmaking because "advantage" or whatever reason they restricted it
