I've had some problems with my PC starting yesterday. Once I came back from class yesterday, I turned on my pc, left the room for a moment to do something while it started up. Once I came back, it was in the middle of starting up, not progessing. I let it be for about 5 minutes more, nothing. So, I pressed the power off button hoping for it to restart, nothing. Waited 5 more minutes. Tried again, didn't work. I had to turn it off the harsh way to get it to do anything. It started up normally after that. I then loaded TF2, this was about 30 minutes before the halloween update. I noticed my game would stutter a whole damn lot, but my frames would stay above 100. So, it wasn't the fps triggering the stuttering. This continues to happen today. Sometimes it's subtle, other time's it's blatant. Usually most obvious in mid fight.

Firelook at temps, open up your pc and see if all components (especially pci(e) cards) are still in place and if not put them in correctly.
CPU temp gets high. 70 or so celsius. Usually around 60 when in game. I need an upgrade soon.

Cpu getting that hot is fine... I would say anything above 80-85 is really bad, 60 isn't.

That isn't even hot...
had a PC for years that had cpu and gpu at constant 90c+, still worked fine. Warmed up my apartment too at the same time, so didn't have to do the thoorin thing.

That isn't even hot...
had a PC for years that had cpu and gpu at constant 90c+, still worked fine. Warmed up my apartment too at the same time, so didn't have to do the thoorin thing.

I'll make sure my next processor doesn't get to 90 celsius because I'll be getting a cooler. But, that still doesn't solve the problem I have now. Everything seems to be slow and stuttering. I'll check inside the case right now and see if anything is out of place.
