Sniper rifle appears when zoomed in stvs

Help, I'm trying to render someone's sniper clip from an STV and whenever anyone zooms in I can still see the snipers viewmodel. I tried manually toggling r_drawviewmodel for when they zoom in but it looks really dodgy. Is there a way to fix this? Does it even happen to anyone else?

already tried that it still appears

edit: and anyways i still want to see the model when not scoped, just like it is ingame

edit: I probably have the pov demo somewhere if you prefer not having the stv no lag compensation

You could just record the same clip twice, one with viewmodels on and one with them off, and cut from the clip with viewmodels on to the one with them off at the moment that the view transitions from normal to "scoped in". (and simply do the same thing in reverse when they scope out again). That way you can create the illusion of continuity even though they are two separate clips.

its actually not your clip im rendering but you never know i might decide to put you in something
