I've been getting very high ping numbers (like 1k-6k) in WoW recently regardless of what server or game expansion I play. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this 'cause it doesn't happen anywhere outside WoW.

Have you tried a program like netbalancer or another one which shows you your i/o as far as networking goes?
Have you tried a vpn?
Are you able to connect to the internet in any other way to see if the problem persists?

I'm gonna look up that netbalancer.
I only use vpn in browser to access banned websites (lol Russia). My internet is already pretty bad and I believe vpn would slow it down even more.
I don't have any other way to connect my PC to the internet.

I installed netbalancer, what exactly should I do with it? I am a noob when it comes to network stuff.

the idea behind netbalancer is to just see what is going on with your traffic, if its something else thats gassing all your bandwidth that happens to run during wow or if its only wow, if nothing fishy pops up maybe try throttling it a bit and see if that changes anything

try Leatrix latency fix, its just a TCP No Delay fix which has been known to help a lot of people in WoW

try using a VPN like WTFast, this allows you to force your connection to route through a certain point, if you are having routing issues. make sure the VPN has servers either near you or near the destination server (but honestly anywhere in the globe or space is better than a routing hop which gives you 6k ping). you can run a traceroute to a WoW server to see if there are problems with your routing.
