I was carrying my laptop around the house and I dropped it on the floor from waist height.The battery came off. I put it back in and I rebooted it, no apparent damage but it's making a hissing noise from under the top left side of the keyboard. Is that where the hard drive is? Did i fuck my hard drive? I know that no one can tell me much unless they're physically here to look at it but it's worth a shot

Hard drive is normally towards the front of the laptop. That is probably the fan.

It's not that hard to open up, just open it up and make sure nothing shifted

yeah that guide had everything you need to completely disassemble it, but to check what you need to check you don't need to do that much, skip steps 11 and 12

yeah that guide had everything you need to completely disassemble it, but to check what you need to check you don't need to do that much, skip steps 11 and 12
