it's funny how he tries to avoid people who critique him by calling anyone who gives a counterargument a butthurt fanboy
The entire point of this video was to get views from TF2 players coming to defend the game and Overwatch fanbots that are sick of hearing about TF2. 3k dislikes and 3k likes, so I mean even if his "critique" is nonsense, means nothing, and super bias the idea worked I guess.
just don't watch this video, he can keep riding blizzards cock without the extra views.

i hate you for giving this another few hundred views
the thing is you can't really understand the theme behind the game and the community until you've sinked in a few hundred hours.
Imagine if I made a video like this titled "TF2 for stupid people" and it was like this except Overwatch. Would I recieve praise, or backlash?

Basically i see this video as any person who is interested in TF2 may see it. While the way the video is executed is a little childish and immature, it shows how any player could come into it and think its boring. A game shouldn't take hundreds of hours to like it, it should take hundreds or thousands of hours to master it. Blizzard has tailored Overwatch to appear as a professional esport, plain and simple. Even in casual the game is similar to competitive. By having pubs in a 12v12 format with no communication could seem boring if you aren't playing power classes. One of my friends who plays Overwatch avidly will sometimes play TF2 with me and some other people for fun, and he says why he dislikes not the game at its core, but how it was presented to him. By having a sloppy, unsure way of just throwing newer players into the game, there is NO WAY someone is going to get into it without a friend who has a basic understanding of the game. There should be a way of putting basic team comp tool tips in selection screens, what your character does, and a way of learning basic mechanics (such as double jumping, and other simple mechanics). Hell, even games like reflex show you how to rocket jump in basic tutorials. There needs to be an integration system for new players, and the only way csgo has gotten off how they are w/o a tutorial system, is because at low levels it is simple. No nades are needed let alone used, and all styles of gameplay are expected. Do something that makes it so you know what the fuck is going on if you click competitive match making!!! (wich is a nother problem all in itself) People should understand the difference between pubs and comp once they enter matchmaking, this is a crucial step at getting people interested. The only reason i know about competitive TF2 and got into it was because i saw the Archimedes cup advertisement on scrap.tf, which i only know about cause i needed a way to get weapons that i didn't have by playing MvM. That's unacceptable, streamline the process, making it appealing to newer players.
TL;DR: The video proves a good point about how newer players could see TF2 (but doing to in a childish manner), so this should really bring attention to how to improve the newer player experience, which is the main goal in improving the player base and longevity of this game. Make it obvious the differences in competitive and casual early on.
edit: i'm not supporting the format of this video or the malicious attacks in this video, just to make that clear :D

I'm more triggered by the fact that he calls out anyone that can't afford Overwatch. Everybody's been through that stage in life where they're too young to get a job or just don't have any money to spend on luxuries. I know a few years back I would've killed to have €5 to spend on the steam sale. $40 is a lot of money to spend on a game for some people.
