Think it might be a bit more than a few cocky comments. More like every interaction of any kind with another human being that he didn't want to have sex with for years. It's safe to say there has been considerable frustration building up since he decided to become a "community leader"

Yeah ok it's probably not the best thing to be insulting banny in a thread over and over like this, but I think what we're all trying to express is that we aren't happy being represented as a community by someone who a lot of us have really grown to dislike. Personally, when banny started streaming and becoming more of a community figure I loved it, i felt like he was being an ideal person to be a spokesperson for the community and help it grow, but as time went on I found that that was no longer the case.
I think the way he acts a lot of the time is counter productive to growing interest in the kind of people we want to join our community. Like 'b4nny sub' is a meme but at the same time it's not - I feel like you need to overlook a few important things to actively support banny and defend him like a lot of them do, it seems like sheer ignorance. I genuinely think banny cares more about winning than building relations and fostering a healthy community and there's nothing wrong with that being the case for a competitive player, but I don't think the same can be said for someone in such a pivotal role for the community.

No I'm trying to express that he actually behaves like this in a private setting with no competitive connotations whatsoever when people are just trying to work together to achieve a common goal. This isn't just a bit of bants with some people he plays against, this is what he's like all the time with people who start out entirely willing to help him.
