Randomly click somewhere on the left. You have a better chance to live doing that than taking the 50 50 chances you have anywhere else.
If you don't want to do this, I think the leftmost 1 has a high probability of having a free space to the left.

Screenshot 1) there's a 1 touching a 2. Thus you know there's a bomb directly to the left of the 4.
Screenshot 2) there's two pairs of 2s at the bottom. On the right pair you know the bomb is in one of the spots above the twos, so the diagonal left of the left 2 on the right pair is open. Same rule again on the left pair to open up the diagonal left square on the left 2.

Thanks citric and slin. This time though, I was only able to reveal 2 squares and block 1 (so I didn't do anything further than citric's instructions).

The problem now is that now there are 2+ possible solutions/arrangements of where the bombs are, all with an equal probability of occuring. This is exactly what you don't want to happen. Am I wrong? We'll see.

taking a look at the two new 1s you exposed. the (red) 1 just to the right of each (green) 1 you just exposed, is only connected to two unseen spaces- that means one of those two is a bomb. I marked those two spaces red.

As a result, the (green) 1 you just exposed, is connected to 5 unseen spaces- but you know there must be a bomb in one of the first two (red x). Convince yourself that this means it is impossible for a bomb to exist in the other three spaces.

I've generally found that this is a sort of last-gasp strategy that doesn't really result in a breakthrough very often, though.

The red 2 is touching one bomb, and two (red) hidden spaces. That means one of those two spaces is a bomb.
The yellow 1 is touching two hidden spaces, meaning one of those two spaces is a bomb.

The green 2 is touching five open spaces. among those five spaces, you have the red and yellow pairs - each of which has a bomb. because you know only two of those five spaces can be a bomb, you know for sure that the green square is safe.

I would recommend guessing on one of the squares bordering the bottom left 3. Since we know there's a mine on one of the purple squares, there's only a 25% chance of one being in the others.
