As far as I'm aware the banners are actually rather hard to coordinate. Maybe if the animations were faster and you didn't lose all of your charge on death they'd be alright I guess but the advantage of simply having another weapon that can eliminate targets is much better than something that changes your teams stats for less than 10 seconds.

Using it mid-fight just isn't that practical and all that has to be done to equalize is to get a pick onto whoever has popped the banner. You'd be much better just reloading rockets and/or getting a med pack or arrow/heal from your medic and getting back into the fight as soon as possible

Not in all the situations for example the "shadowburn loadout" with the black box and conch can still be usable as the roamer but playing roamer with shotgun is pretty aids.

until I opened the video I thought that this is a rant about in-game sponsor advertisements. I even watched intro, then he told that he did a research, something about how banners are viable in different league. I seriously was trying to remember if there is a plugin that applies sponsor overlays on walls and hangs random banners in chokes, I'm disappointed

That turbine gameplay in the background really helps to prove his point.

Banners can help break stalemates. If you're not in a stalemate, other secondaries would benefit you more.
