Is there any actual support for an extra team in invite? Nine teams in invite would give every team two matchups against the other eight teams, as opposed to the current system where a team's LAN chances are affected by who they play, i.e. xensity. I really can't think of any disadvantages other than 8 being a nice round number.
Trouble filling the ninth spot would probably be the biggest problem.
this has been proposed in the past not sure what ESEA's official reasoning is but from a player/team standpoint it definitely makes more sense for everyone to have the same schedule.
and yeah what #2 said, there's already a pretty big divide each season between top-bottom, this season was better than most but we still had a dead team so yeah, they probably want to keep it competitive throughout the season.

Not sure why this isn't done already, though I guess getting that ninth team would be difficult
disengageflippersmad menthen who to replace dt?
Chill to Good Ratio? They seem to be doing well enough.

We've brought this up to Torbull almost every single LAN, and I think the only reply we get is "no."
There are also 12 teams in 1.6-I with 3 being dead, but that's still 9. In CSGO-I there are 12 teams with none dead (well some teams only have 1-2 wins with 10+ losses, but I'm going by whether the page states if they're dead or not).
If there's any definitive reason as to why we don't have at least a ninth invite team, then I think that reason should be given.

Getting a team to commit to taking a beating seems to be fairly difficult. What Vector did this season is out of the norm and they should be given props. That said, stop being sissy girls and move up if you're too good for IM. Thanks.
Honestly, a round robin season just for invite would be WAY more enjoyable than what we currently have.
1) Less of the same matches gives us the maximum diversity during the season.
2) This also makes the LAN semis and finals less of the same stuff we've seen all season potentially.
3) More fair, and potentially more accurate seedings? Don't round robins use matrices to seed at the end? I thought that was better than swiss elimination by far.

we're lucky to have 6 legitimate invite teams every season
